Can I edit the model color/texture of premade/customizable Live2D models?​

Yes, if edits stay within the license terms. Edits must not be offensive, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise disrespectful.

You can change colors in a few ways:

  1. Use model color sliders (if available) by creating expressions and adjusting related parameters.
  2. Use VTube Studio ArtMesh color controls. See Mesh Color Editing.
  3. Edit texture files directly. See Texture Editing.

Q: Can I commission someone to create a custom texture or edit for the model? Can artists offer paid editing services?​

Yes. You may commission someone to create a custom retexture or other edits, and artists may offer these services for a fee.

However, the model files shall not be transferred or shared with third parties. Both the client and the artist must each own a legitimate copy of the model purchased directly from the official store before any editing work is performed. Purchasing one copy does not grant permission to share the model files with another person, even for commission or editing purposes.
